Fresh Graphic Solutions case study
Treasure House Fair, signed with precision
A complete event signage and graphics package for Stabilo UK at Treasure House Fair 2026, produced for a prestigious London setting where detail, timing and visual consistency all mattered.
Earlier in the summer, Fresh Graphic Solutions partnered with Stabilo UK to produce and install a comprehensive signage and graphics package for Treasure House Fair 2026, held in the iconic grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
The project covered the signage language of a full-scale cultural event: event branding, exhibitor graphics, visitor information, directional signage, Fire Exit signs and Health and Safety messages. Each element had to feel part of the same environment while still doing a very practical job for exhibitors, contractors, organisers and visitors.
With a busy venue, a fixed installation programme and multiple trades working in parallel, timing was critical. The graphics needed to be produced accurately, prepared carefully and delivered ready for installation as the event build commenced, working alongside builders, painters and carpenters on site.
As with many exhibition and event projects, the challenge was not simply producing high-quality graphics. The real value was in making sure hundreds of individual elements worked together to create a coherent, professional and easy-to-navigate experience across the venue.
Event signage has to be beautifully produced, but it also has to be in the right place at the right moment. Treasure House Fair was a project where organisation, finish and installation discipline all had to work together. Fresh Graphic Solutions
The project: a complete event signage environment
Treasure House Fair required signage that could support the event visually and operationally. In a venue with exhibitors, staff, contractors and visitors moving through the space, every sign has a role to play. Some pieces create atmosphere and brand presence. Others support commercial presentation. Others are there to help people move safely and confidently.
That mix is exactly where experienced exhibition signage production matters. Large events need far more than one hero graphic. They need a coordinated system of branded, directional, informational and safety-led pieces, produced consistently and installed in a clear sequence.
What Fresh GS produced
- Main event branding and feature signage
- Exhibitor stand identification and demarcation
- Exhibitor graphics and branding
- Directional and wayfinding signage
- Fire Exit and Health and Safety signage
- Information and visitor graphics
- Facilities and visitor services signage
Although all of these items formed part of the same event, each had its own technical requirements. Material choice, print method, fixing method, location, durability and installation access all needed to be considered individually. A sign for visitor information does not have the same job as an exhibitor graphic. A Health and Safety sign does not have the same design priority as a large-format brand moment. The skill is in making every item feel connected while still selecting the right solution for the application.
Choosing the right materials for event work
A large proportion of the rigid signage was produced using 5mm and 10mm Foamex, with graphics printed directly to the boards. Foamex is particularly well suited to event environments because it is lightweight, durable and easy to handle during installation, while still providing a clean professional finish.
The choice between 5mm and 10mm material was determined by the size, position and intended use of each sign. Smaller or more temporary items can often be produced efficiently using 5mm Foamex, while larger pieces or signs requiring a more substantial presence may benefit from 10mm material. The result is a signage package that feels considered rather than over-specified or under-engineered.
Direct-to-board printing also supports consistency. When a large number of signs need to be produced for the same event, colour, finish, alignment and legibility must be controlled across the entire package. That is especially important for an event environment where visitors will see multiple graphics in quick succession.
For graphics that needed to be applied to fabric surfaces, Fresh GS produced precision-cut high-tack vinyl lettering and graphics. This provided a reliable solution for branding applications where a conventional rigid sign would not have been practical. Fabric applications can be more demanding because the surface behaves differently from a flat board or wall, so specification and preparation are essential.
Not one product repeated everywhere, but a tailored mix of Foamex, direct print and high-tack vinyl chosen for the way each sign would be used.
Direct print, high-tack vinyl and a consistent visual language
Large events depend on consistency. Even when signage performs different jobs, the tone, finish and placement should feel deliberate. For Treasure House Fair, the graphics needed to sit comfortably within a high-end event setting, supporting the atmosphere of the fair without adding visual noise.
Fresh GS combined different production methods to achieve that balance. Rigid boards provided clarity and structure for visitor information, stand identification and safety messaging. High-tack vinyl allowed branding and lettering to be applied to softer or less conventional surfaces. Large-format printed graphics created the visual confidence expected from a major event.
This approach reflects the wider Fresh GS service model. As a team specialising in large-format print, signage, installation and exhibition graphics, the focus is not just on manufacturing isolated items. It is on understanding where each piece will sit, how it will be handled, who will interact with it and what it needs to communicate.
From production to installation
Event work is often as much about organisation as it is about print. With a large number of individual graphics to produce, every item has to be checked, produced, packed and prepared correctly before it arrives on site. Missing, damaged or incorrectly produced signage can create significant disruption once an event build is underway.
For Treasure House Fair, careful project management was essential. Every sign needed to arrive in the right condition, at the right time and with enough clarity for the installation team to place it efficiently. That required production scheduling, quality control, packing discipline and a practical understanding of the installation environment.
Check
Artwork, quantities, locations and materials were reviewed before production so the event package could be manufactured with confidence.
Produce
Rigid Foamex boards, direct-to-media prints and high-tack vinyl graphics were produced to suit the different applications across the venue.
Prepare
The signage package was organised for site, reducing the risk of confusion once the build programme was live.
Install
Graphics were positioned as the event came together, working around the practical realities of a busy build environment.
The installation stage is where small production decisions become visible. A board that is easy to handle saves time. Clear labelling reduces site questions. Accurate print and finishing prevent last-minute rework. Reliable vinyl specification avoids problems on more difficult surfaces. Each decision supports the next.
Wayfinding and visitor confidence
For visitors, good event signage is often felt before it is noticed. People should be able to understand where they are, where they are going and what areas are available without having to pause and decode the space. That is particularly important at a major fair where exhibitors, facilities, entrances, exits and staff areas all need to be clearly identified.
The Treasure House Fair package included directional and visitor service signage to help people move through the environment more confidently. Clear wayfinding signage reduces friction, supports safety and helps the overall event feel more polished.
Health and Safety signage was also a key part of the package. These signs are functional, but they still need to be produced and placed professionally. Fire Exit signs, visitor information and facilities graphics all contribute to the operational quality of the event.
The result: a cohesive, high-end event graphics package
The completed signage package helped create a professional, welcoming and easy-to-navigate environment for both exhibitors and visitors. Large-format branding reinforced the identity of the event, exhibitor signage supported consistent presentation throughout the venue and clear wayfinding helped visitors move confidently around the space.
Health and Safety signage and facilities information ensured important messages remained visible and accessible throughout the event. Just as importantly, each element formed part of a wider system. The finished result was not a collection of disconnected graphics, but a complete event signage package shaped around the needs of the venue, the organisers and the people attending.
Projects such as Treasure House Fair demonstrate the importance of combining different materials, print processes and signage solutions to meet the unique demands of a large-scale event. It is not simply about producing a good-looking graphic. It is about ensuring the right sign is produced on the right material, installed in the right location and ready when it is needed.
That is what turns a set of print requirements into a successful event environment. For Fresh GS, the project brought together the disciplines that sit behind effective exhibition work: production accuracy, material knowledge, print quality, practical installation planning and a clear understanding of how signage shapes the visitor experience.
